Recently saw ‘Melancholia’ and ‘Antichrist’, both directed by Lars Von Trier. Both beautifully filmed. But overall I much preferred ‘Melancholia’ for its storyline, acting, imagery and I guess also for the lack of violence/gore which Antichrist showed quite graphically. In some cases I had to look away :/ Melancholia also left me which a small, simultaneous sense of awe and dread, especially after the last scene of the film…but I won’t spoil it for you :p
